Translated by M. R. James, The Apocryphal New Testament (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1924). Akhmim and Bodleian Greek fragments and the Ethiopic core, presented separately; inline translator notes retained. • Public domain in the USA; historical source text only
M. R. James’s 1924 translation: the 34 numbered units of the Akhmim Greek fragment, the two sides of the Bodleian leaf, and 50 reading paragraphs of the Ethiopic core. The textual witnesses are kept separate. Inline translator notes remain; introductions, standalone editorial remarks, later material summarized by James, and the Sibylline appendix are excluded. This is distinct from the Nag Hammadi Apocalypse of Peter.
